Cam'ron earlier style was different from his stuff in the 2000s> it was more hyper and kinda funny also, post stuff from that era.

I like the slowed down Cam more, but he was definitely on fire in this era as well. You can almost pinpoint the exact moment of the transition on SDE. He slows it down, gets a little more condescending and conversational.
My favorite Cam'ron. He was at his peak from about 2000 to 2003. From when he dropped his second LP to when he first signed with the Roc he was untouchable

Cam in that era might (include 04 too) might have been the rapper i enjoyed listening to the most.
him or Jay from 99-03.

he was always good at transitioning into new era's/reinventing himself and thats probably whats missing with him now.
he gets by on just being Cam now so he's not being kept on his toes having to prove himself.
