I watched the Everyday Struggle Cam'ron special the other day and I gotta say it was real interesting.

It also had me even thinking back on Cam'ron's run in the game. Definitely a very interesting 1.

While I've liked SOME of Cam'ron's music, I've always felt like AT TIMES he left more to be desired on records.

Don't get me wrong, when Cam'ron gets it right on a record, he gets it right (Double Up, D Rugs, What Means The World To You, The ROC, Losing Weight, More Reasons, Killa Cam, Dynasty freestyle, Live My Life, Let Me Know, Horse and Carriage, Down and Out, Family Ties, Lord You Know etc and a few songs from his double mixtape)

But then a lot of times, to me, the reason why I've liked him so much is because of his attitude and persona. His attitude and persona maybe the goat in Hip Hop. I can't think of a more polarizing rapper/MC in the last 19 years of Hip Hop. Cam reminds me of a great wrestler, the way in which he presents himself. It's never a boring moment whenever he's doing whatever he's doing.

Now ranking MCs/rappers is always subjective but I say all of this to say, where do you think Cam'ron ranks among the best to ever pick up the mic?

Jay, Pac, Eminem, Kendrick, Nas, Cube, Rakim, Biggie, LL, KRS, Pun, DMX, G Rap, Black Thought, Common, Prodigy, Redman, Monch, Ghostface, Kane, Chuck D, Guru

Are the only ones clearly better. You can argue after that.

As far as my personal list, he's around 15-20 area.

And mind you Cam, X, Ras Kass are probably my three favorite rappers ever

That persona is what makes him one of the greats, because it shows up in his music, I mean how many quotables does he have?

Its all off the strength of his wit....Nothing seems forced either....

I don't know how to explain it, but its kind of how Nas being enigmatic, allows him to present himself as hip hops sage....

Cams charisma can carry his monotonous flow over the strangest samples, and that shyt will hit....At the same time he can churn out legendary verses amongst heavy hitters like Prodigy and make classics like losing weight......

I watched about the first 15 minutes of the ak Joe special, and was a little surprised to see Joe have cam on the 40 to 50 side.. I honestly can't fathom cam not being top 25... After you get past 15 emcees, I gotta look at hate creeping in there after.. Like how can you honestly put let's say a Jadakiss above cam.. Cam has better solo albums, as deep a mixtape history, and a heavier influence.. Would a Nygga fix his face to say Jada isn't top 50? If a rapper has a 5 year span of being top 5 at that specific moment, not sure how he gets bumped to low top 50s.. Excluding Nelly types... Ehh

He said Cam was top 35, then ended him at top 25.
