I got so hyped when this first came out. Thought the glory days were back. Nobody sounds better on a beat like this than Killa

going to have to listen to this mixtape tonight or tomorrow..haven't listened to it in a couple years.

i was listening to a couple of his loose joints that i think dropped between PE No.1 and Crime Pays and on them i liked his random references.
"i'm from 40th, i sold dust to the Wu-Tang" and another about dropping off some drugs and seeing Lord Jamar in the hallway.

That tape was my shyt, I remember because bruh was ghost for so long before that tape dropped and the whole "Where's Cam?" thing was happening and there was all this talking going on, these video sightings of the nikka like he was big foot and he just randomly came through with this shyt :whew:

the video sightings of him and his promo for that mixtape were random as shyt.
from Curb Your Enthusiasm references to videos speeding away in the acura or the civic and then the other one of him walking around a graveyard in full army gear, helmet and all..then when the tape dropped he said he'd be outside of the Apollo in the Pink Range giving out free copies..the Range was there but i don't he even turn up.

Killa Season again, you little yentas,” Cam said in an e-mail to MTV News, referencing his 2006 album. “November 7th. Cam’ron is anonymous. Dipset!”

That tape was the last quality piece of work that Cam did.
It took me a minute to get into dude's style, but looking back on it I like the combo of Cam & Penz better than Cam & Vado. Of course neither one of them is better than Cam/Juelz - Cam/Rell or Cam/Writer, but I'm just saying. Cam's music got much weaker after he started rocking with Vado.

That adlib would be so random, it took me awhile to realize it was Duke The God's watermark.

Vado wasn't REALLY the problem.

The problem was Cam just lost something.......he just lost that spark and mic presence he had. He started to sound like he was going through the motions. His heart wasn't in it. On top of that his production started to sound real cheap and offbrand. I wasn't feeling those Skitzo or Araab Muzik joints.

Skitzo & Aarab are on PE No. 1 though. Cam's beat selection was off, and yeah he was also attacking beats pretty sloppily. When a rapper reaches a certain point in their career, they have to feed off the new blood (to some extent) to stay relevant. It basically helps keep their ear to the streets, keep them hip. I do think the fact that Vado wasn't bringing enough new ideas & energy to the table had something to do with Cam's falloff too. Everybody that Cam dealt with, with the exception of 40 Cal (no personality) had their own wave. He could feed off them. Vado was just happy to be down, he had to feed off of Cam's energy just to get in the door. Just go down the list of people Cam was rocking with, or put on before Vado, they all had a unique style or sound

That's what's weird. I haven't been able to fukk with any of Cam's production post PE#1 despite him using a similar team. I dunno.....PE#1 still captures that swagged out Harlem sound that was lacking in everything since.

That's my Killa

I don't think Cam is the GREATEST rapper but when he's on his top form I don't think there's another rapper I enjoy listening to spitting bars as much as him
