thats very strong and emotional language, lol, you're just pathetic, lol @ you getting your panties in a bunch at the thought of black people progressing independently and demanding that we bow down to white liberalism
when you views get exposed its truly disgusting
When did I say that? I said in the past Liberalism raised a significant portion of us out of poverty. That's all facts.
Where will liberalism lead us in the future? I don't know. I believe it's in our best Interest at the present moment to vote that way. In the future that may not be the case.
You and everyone else saying things like start Black businesses, gain consciousness, etc .... are spouting empty rhetoric. I'd love for that to happen and not depend on politics. How are you planning on making this happen? You going to every inner city and unplugging everyone out of the Matrix? You got Billions of dollars in money to loan to Black men and women to start businesses? You going to pay teachers salaries in school systems that get closed down in Black districts? Let me know. I'm truly interested.
"benefits were small in comparison to the economic and political advantages that whites received. Most unions excluded blacks from joining. Enforcement of anti-discrimination laws in the South was virtually impossible"
That's from the link you posted.
If you read the article, it then goes on to say that FDR employed tons of Blacks to integral positions in his administrative positions deemed the "The Black Cabinet"
and then goes on to say that
"The wartime
FEPC executive orders that forbade job discrimination against African Americans, women, and ethnic groups was a major breakthrough that brought better jobs and pay to millions of minority Americans."
"The WPA, NYA, and CCC relief programs allocated 10% of their budgets to blacks (who comprised about 10% of the total population, and 20% of the poor). They operated separate all-black units with the same pay and conditions as white units"
"The black community responded favorably, so that by 1936 the majority who voted (usually in the North) were voting Democratic. This was a sharp realignment from 1932, when most African Americans voted the Republican ticket. New Deal policies helped establish a political alliance between blacks and the Democratic Party that survives into the 21st century.
"
The 50s and 60s don't happen without The New Deal and FDR.
Nice try, though.
