If you can't define what 'normal' is, then you can't say what qualifies as 'mental illness'.
Postmodernism strikes again!!!
This was actually why I didn't post the original couple or three hundred words I'd typed. The original OP did go into that but then I thought it would easily drift into semantics and TLDR aneurysms because everyone has their own perspective hence going open ended but
here we are... Counting the trees instead of enjoying the fruit.
Don't look to me for validation, go with your own definition, your own perspective, your own insight. Respond by sharing whatever motivated you to click the thread and what it made you think. Instead of
trying to find lines to color within take it as a blank page and see what happens when you push the pen of your awareness.
Personally, I think you could use a statistical model that used the average behavior as the mean (mu) value and create a bell curve. then you can categorize the outliers on either side of the bell curve as deviants. You can go even further and put folks in the 0.5 percent confidence interval as genuinely crazy, cause these people are the deviants among deviants.
But this model pretty much debunks the OP. Cause crazy would be a measure of deviation form that mean norm of the population's behavior.
There are lies, damn lies and statistics. Relax your mind, let your conscience be free and
see what answers spring forth internally.
Explain to me how/why the world could be “crazy” when humans have been on this kind of time since we got here. THIS is us breh.
And that doesn't seem crazy to you?
For real?
