Can first generation Americans claim American history, or does it come off awkward?

Referring to a civilization isn't the same as referring to a specific ethnic group.
Were the people on these civilizations not part of a completely different ethnic group from that of the founding fathers

Donald Trump's mother was an immigrant and his father was born from immigrants. He somehow has no problem claiming American history. :mjpls:
White folks have a code united in whiteness

We as black people don’t have that. Thus these stupid diaspora wars :yeshrug:

No. It’s corny as fukk.

I’ve seen it first hand. A lot of first gen and children of immigrants suddenly adopt AA culture in college.

And you know why :mjpls:

Seen it first hand, many times. Not even gonna go into it.

:patrice: tough one but I'd say yes.....mainly due to the fact that the history of immigration is a big part of this country

No matter what a lot of white folk wanna say, non-ADOS American heritage is heavily one of immigration and people coming here in search of opportunity, so yes they can embrace some of America’s history

that though of course comes with acknowledging America’s evils, and one should never forget or distance themselves from their original heritage

First, Rome was multi ethnic. Second, you coli nikkas gotta learn how to actually respond instead of answering with questions it's not a gotcha and comes off corny. And last my response basically said it doesn't matter, so I don't know why you would essentially repeat the same point in a different format. Regardless I don't know wether the thread title was changed or not but you can claim America's history
