If you brought every human on earth to a Major League ballpark and pitched them batting practice balls, and also set up a 10-foot basketball hoop, could more people hit a home run or successfully dunk a basketball? Assume they can swing until they get tired and that they can get a running start and don’t have to dribble to dunk.

stolen from deadspin but i thought it was an interesting question

i think more people would be able to dunk

Dunk. If you're 6'2 plus it shouldn't be that hard.

Most people won't be able to dunk but more people wouldn't be able to hit. They won't have the hand eye coordination, timing, and mechanics to hit a home run forget the strength.

The average person would look like a retard swinging a bat, it would literally feel like a foreign object in your hand if you never played baseball. Most cats would struggle to hit 30 mile per hour BP wiffing out they shoes.

However, I feel like if you can't dunk you just flat out can't dunk. You can't do anything to dunk. Maybe if you're a strong motherfukker you can get the bat with the sweet spot on it and hit it out.
