He's lost his locker room, never had his coaching staff and has a contentious relationship with the DMV metro area media. If he went to green bay and sat behind Rodgers for a couple season it would probably do him a world of good. He wouldn't get many snaps but just seeing how the guy he looks up to does his business would be good for him. In a couple seasons after some spot duty for Rodgers he might get an opportunity in Houston or at the Jets. I think he needs a change of role, scenery, attitude, media and organization. It seems his only two friends at the Skins right now are Trent Williams and Dan Snyder. That is a toxic work environment.Does he lack too much at this point or can RG3 still develop into a top 10 QB? RG3 doesn't shirk from pressure, is accurate, mobile and possesses a rocket arm. These are his strengths. Now let's talk about his weaknesses.
RG3 lacks field vision and is slow to anticipate. At this juncture Kirk Cousins actually anticipates and sees the field better than RG3. Does that fact Cousins is already better than RG3 mean RG3 is a lost cause? After all, Cousins still isn't good enough to start. During his last outing I notice some marginal improvement from RG3 in this area of his game. He seemed to cycle through his progressions more concisely.
Additionally RG3's pocket presence is getting better, though I have never thought RG3's pocket movement or awareness was necessarily poor. He does miss defenders from time to time and hold the ball too long, but otherwise RG3 is a good pocket facilitator. RG3's footwork under pressure needs work but he's accurate given time and space. Overall RG3's issues seem more mental than physical. Missing reads, weak anticipation and poor field vision are mental errors that RG3 seems to getting better at, albeit slower than one would like.
What do you guys think?

tl;dr I think he is done in Washington. Zero chance of being even an serviceable backup. Done. Finito. However, I do think he could be a great comeback storyline if he goes into the shadows for a while and learns the more cerebral aspects of the job from a maestro in a stable team environment.
Edit: He was terrible in the NFL highlights I just watched. That boy's goose is cooked.

that's why i disagree with Gruden. Sure qb's play into the second qtr in a preseason game, but not when they are getting creamed like he was. If your franchise qb is getting murked in a PRE-SEASON game, get him out and work on the line in practice. Not sure what he could have done last night, he got totally bombarded. That being said, they should have traded him in the offseason, it's clear that Gruden doesn't fukk with RG3 and would rather play McCoy or Cousins
a lot of it was his fault. On NFL Network they were blaming RG3...![]()

a lot of it was his fault.
He didnt see the field well. He fukking sucks.
of course he needs protectionSome of it was his fault but c'mon man a QB needs some sort of protection. I don't care if he sucks or doesn't suck, point is he was taking a lot of hits even after he got rid of the ball.
