I get what you're saying but people don't know these things. There's no formal education on these things. These aren't things your parents teach you, these aren't things you learn in school. The bulk of these experiences come from either you getting burned and spreading the word to your friends and family or you hearing it from your friends and family who get burned. Even then most people are like "well, I'm pretty smart, I can take care of myself, let me see what this is about"But again that's all understandable but research, foresight, and just general knowledge are gifts we are all granted. A lot of people are looking for that quick get rich or quick get me out of a jam for a problem I created and they should know that that's not how life or society is. Also most of those credit repair companies are only doing the work that we could do ourselves. But the lesson at the end is never over extend yourself especially in this economy. Too many sharks in these infested waters to not properly research
Yeah I get what you're saying. Because I'm about to be 34 and came from a family that didn't have much so it was trial by error how I learned how to navigate out here. I have the degrees/student loans for a something I'm not currently even doing. My mom took out furniture/ bills in my name and I had to pay that off. But again I was born in the 90s we didn't have the level of access to knowledge like people have these days. You see multiple accounts and experiences of people getting scammed out here or going down bad paths and still choose to do it that's a critical miscalculation on your part. It's like someone still choosing to do crack and thinking that the same results won't happen to them. I feel for people in bad spots but again my grace can only extend so far. Multiple kids in this day and age when you did don't have a solid foundation is financial suicide even more so doing it without a stable partner. There is no more excuses for people that go down that path. They can spend hrs on social media that time could be used shoring up their financial knowledge or picking up a skill. We can't forcibly drag everyone to the top. It will only drag the entire ship down.I get what you're saying but people don't know these things. There's no formal education on these things. Back when you had degree mills that you applied for student loans and the diploma or certificate wasn't worth the paper it was printed on but you had tv commercials, bus bench ads, billboards....motherfukkers weren't finding out until they had an electricians certificate from Johnston University or Peterson Institute that the qualifications or certifications didn't mean national or international standards, they were probably told early on in their 'education' "you're credits won't transfer to most colleges but if you get your degree through us, we can fast track you into your field and we have businesses all over the country that take applicants!"
Doesn't sound like a scam, while they aren't telling the full truth, they probably have some small businesses that recognize them and they probably have a network of other degree mill schools/programs that will transfer, those degrees weren't the same as some trade schools or national colleges. But they accepted loans, they had classes, you got books, studied and took exams.
It's easy to sit back and think right now what you would do and should do. When you have people saying they're coming to repo your shyt on Tuesday, or you need to be out by next Friday, or we need $1200 by Monday you don't have time to weight all the options and choose the best one. When your kids stomach is growling, or your heat or water is off today, you can't think, "Well, what's the lowest minimum risk option for me?" When your car dies today and you gotta be at work at 8am to 5pm the next 4-5 days...You can't be sitting and planning, you gotta be taking action. And yeah that doesn't mean haphazardly taking the first one that seems to rectify the issue or sounds good, but a well thought out informed decision is tough to make in the moment.
Debt consolidation is real, shyt getting a loan for a home is real. Going to the right place or the wrong place is either going to help you or fukk you up even more.

Great post, I feel everything your saying. I don't think people that get caught up willingly do so. It's like sheep that get eaten by wolves. You gotta remember these people/businesses are lurking. The businesses are designed to get you in a trap. Something as simple (or complex) as a credit card isn't designed for you to make one Payment, then immediately pay it off. They literally give you points (some) for using. If I'm on my last dollar and you do this to me.. I'd be ok with a jury deciding where I spend the next 2 decades. If for nothing else, I could take some comfort in the fact that this fukking demon isn't able to do this to anyone else...I've seen this happen here in Atlanta multiple times. I just left this chick's page and it's clearly some bullshyt. She is reeling in people with bad rental histories that cannot get approved in their name. Promising to get them fake paperwork that can get them approved for a fee. Then she hits them with the run around game once she gets the initial payment. When people complain she says they are lying and broke and couldn't come up with the money.
If I'm on my last dollar and you do this to me.. I'd be ok with a jury deciding where I spend the next 2 decades. If for nothing else, I could take some comfort in the fact that this fukking demon isn't able to do this to anyone else...
...shyt got me heated.
