Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Shaquille O'Neal, Tim Duncan, Hakeem Olajuwon, Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Moses Malone, Larry Bird, Oscar Robertson, Julius Erving, Bob Pettit, and maybe I'm forgetting somebody, all have claims to be in the top ten, it just depends on personal preference at that point. Obviously this is based on both seeing guys play and on accolades/historical views, since most of us only have TRUE knowledge of this league from the 90s on (in the sense that we actually were watching it as it was happening).
