- the nature of youth is to test boundaries

- that naturally progresses into rebellion against those boundaries, because they are seen as unfair to the childish/inexperienced

- many boundaries deserve rebellion, but the childish/inexperienced will not know which from which

- the difference lies in purpose

- enemies have redirected youthful energy away from any purpose that benefits them and theirs...and turned that energy into vanity loops

If you go to a basketball/volleyball/football game they play Youngboy while the kids are warming up. I was at a basketball game once and almost every song was Youngboy. The only other song they played was Codeine Crazy.

His fan base just started driving. Dude is huge out here.

I can honestly say I don’t understand son’s fame. I don’t know anybody in real life young or old who’s an actual FAN of dude.

Honest question: are you around young Black youth like middle schools, schools, HBCUs, etc? I can’t see how you haven’t met any young fans of his.

Heck “Nevada” alone gets played at grown functions lol

Yes. Not HBCUs cause I live in NYC. But I’m around plenty young people out here. shyt my son is 20 years old. So is my nephew and my niece is 19. And I’m cool with people ranging from 24-30 as well. I know people who know some of his shyt. And who like his old shyt. But I haven’t met an actual FAN of the nikka. Like for instance. I’ve met plenty fans of XXX. Before and after his death. NBA Youngboy I just don’t see it. Maybe it’s an NYC thing. But I have cousins that live in ATL that have this same complaint about son.

I was a kid posting on SOHH some 17 years ago, and old heads felt the same way about Flocka
:mjlol:
Flocka had hits on the radio....

Nobody is confused IF NBA is popular. People are confused how he's "stadium tour" popular and doesn't have a song on radio/billboard/(mtv/bet back then)

This is one of the first rap STREAMING stars who has touched NONE of the traditional media checkpoints. I don't think anyone else has done it this big while not even having to leave the house
