It's the word "peace" in another language(I forgot which one, kemetian I think), and like cats say "peace" after a convo, they would say "hotep" instead. Tariq Nasheed heard that and turned the word into a negative to mock the conscious community.

Black people originally built and created Egypt, but the word "Egypt" is said to be a modern word for that land, whereas the original word the native blacks used was "Kemet", so you'll hear some use that word rather than use a European term. Kinda like how some older white men call the "LA Dodgers" the "Brooklyn Dodgers" in cultural defiance...

No. Hoteps aren't pro black they're new age hippies. Burning incense all day, neglecting african history as a whole outside of Egypt and sitting around trying to raise their c00ndalinis isn't pro black. Just because you rock a ankh necklace, practice east asian spirituality and wear a dashiniki means absolutely nothing in terms of our condition. Some of these cats do got a mouth piece on them and talk a good game besides that you won't see them doing real work or anything tangible.

It basically means fake deep, fake smart. Know it all who knows nothing.
