Agreed. It sounds like you could bang that out. Or, see if you can get a new CC and transfer the balance so its interest free. This way you arent paying interest. Maybe also go half towards debt and half to 401k. Also, once you get used to contributing to your 401k you wont miss that amount from your paycheck. And the longer that money is in the market the better.
How do I go about getting an interest free credit card. The debt is actually a little difficult to get rid of. Spending the bare minimum I still come up a few hundred short a month. I'm gonna try to cut a few more corners. I'm getting a little raise soon at work so that should help. Plus it should come with a retro check of like 2 or 3k so I want to throw that at it as well. The weather is also getting nice so I'm gonna try and sell my bike. Hopefully I can get close to 2k for that. It's all wishful thinking but I'm trying to remain positive.
I hate owing shyt. All this debt came within the last year. I separated from my baby moms so I'm losing 700 a month on child support plus I'm not getting what she would contribute. It's been a tough year but I'm hanging in there and hopefully shyt gets better.
I do want to start contributing to my 401k again but I might be switching jobs soon and they'll offer 401k, pensions and annuities. Hopefully I'll be more stable and could contribute more.
But the more I make the more I pay in child support. It's difficult to stay afloat. I hope somebody reading this decides to strap up
