Can Sony make a basketball game?

Sony used to have a whole division with 989 studios

With how cheap game development might be with licensing instead of developing engines, we might see some sony sports games again. Maybe they can give us some arcade basketball or a sim that's easier to get into than 2k.

IIRC the sony basketball games were bad and they had corny stories similar to what 2k is doing.

It's going to take a big time dev with big boy money to compete with them and it ain't happening. EA was our best hope and they flopped. They had a lane though if they would've kept at it.

Nah early on NBA Shootout games was good and the NFL Gameday joints were the first to go 3d models and those were good too.

Remember how many basketball games we had to chose from growing up in the 2000s. Now we got one company making basketball games, and one company making football games. And they both trash.

i wish they kept making football cause gameday was the shyt... and they still could.. that ea deal says they allowed to make a first party game..
