Cuban Linx and Liquid Swords are two classic, classic albums. But to respect the history of hip hop, youve gotta regard Cuban Linx as the more pivotal album, right?
I personally love liquid swords, but I'll admit my perspective isnt unbiased, as Cuban Linx is my favorite album of all time.
Anyways, what Im saying is that hipsters try to invert the legacies of Cuban Linx and Liquid Swords... which is very uncool.
Liquid Swords has the more immediate backpacker appeal, because of GZA's subject matter and lyrical approach. Whereas Cuban Linx is a very intelligent hip hop album, but easy to overlook from that standpoint
