what gets me about twitter is what I call "forced participation"

years ago I had an empty twitter account, just so I could use the app to watch videos and see tweets....now when I open my account there's a bunch of tweets from accounts and people I don't know, and there's no way to get rid of seeing this. I can't have a blank/empty account anymore. And when I do pull up a tweet, and scroll through the comments, there's random ads in between comments. if you're a user like myself, the app is unusable.

Nah bruh up until about a year ago I went to twitter for EVERYTHING....

Real time news and updates for practically anything. Every major event was broke on twitter before anywhere else, it was THE source of news.
