The As still finished with the best run diff in baseball

Cespedes did worse in Boston and Lester is a prove commodity, if cespedes was anything beane doesnt trade him for a rental this is the smartest gm in the game

it was a combo of injuries and picking a horrible replacement for LH pitching (the ghost of Jonny Gomes)

you make that trade 10 times out of 10, people love Cespy because he wins HR derbys and throws people out from the warning track. game-to-game hes not the player he should be

Moss playing with 1 hip, and injuries to Coco/Vogt and Jaso were way more impactful. the team couldn't hit any lefty during the stretch

Nope. All his numbers were either about the same or better going to Boston. All you proved was that you stopped watching Cespedes around early August when he was really struggling. Slugging, higher, ops, ops+ higher, the ballpark suited him better, also had better luck (higher BABIP)

Were the A's unlucky? They were nicked up a lot, but the team couldn't hit for much of the 2nd half. That's not bad luck.
