50 played it so obviously, it is now no longer taking the same effect but luckily he is already set up in major moves with his entertainment showcases on TV and Movies.

Jay was one of the first rappers to introduce it to the public consensus, and he played it better than anyone.

I believe every rapper and exec both in the industry and on the way up have read this book. I am interested to know if anyone you know either rapper or personal or yourself have applied any of this knowledge? How did it or how is it going? I've got 3 Robert Greene Books left which are Mastery, Art of Seduction and 33 strategies. Anyway what you feel about the whole 48 Laws?

:salute:

BTW I disagree with at least like 10 of them. I know he knows more but principal wise I can't cosign at least 10 of them.

Let me add this here too. (So if we can build we can build right)

One of the greatest con artist of all time left a manual a little step by step to help your game on track and not your wig pushed back.

Victor Lustig the man who sold the Eifiel Tower twice! Boss mode only!

A set of instructions known as the "Ten Commandments for Con Men" :

I used a lot of what he said in this book and it improved my life, financially. :yeshrug: Personally it made me more paranoid though, consistently overthinking other people’s motives.

Oh that's nice. I think of all self-help/manual books it is up there with the best of them. Props.

I think in life we all get paranoid though, worried, all types of fears. In Mayan tradition it is taught to embrace your fears and to understand know them.

It was a clip from 'Apocalypto'.

It’s useful if you’re going to read and absorb the actual explanations and breakdowns of the laws and not just read then repeat the laws themselves and think you’re some criminal/business mastermind now like a lot of dummies do, lol. It’s psychology, the whole book has philosophy vibes but it’s really just Psychology. Most of his books are in that wheelhouse.

I prefer “Mastery” over 48 Laws and most of his other offerings but 48 Laws is a good book, more than anything else it reveals to you how nefarious others are, especially in regard to power…it’s a cautionary book more so than a “to-do” type of thing.

I own Mastery, it is a nice book I am surprised you prefer it to 48.

The thing about 48 and even The Art of Seduction are the stories written in red by the columns of real life accounts of these strategies.

I do not believe in some of them in the 48Laws like 'Appear effortless, take other peoples credit, chop off the unlukcy' etc.

I know the hiphop youth it is like a new day Bible, but you are spot on it depends on how you process and apply the information.

I subscribe to his YouTube channel.

I like the real life stories of different figures of past and present doing great things.

I like his relationship and respect for 50 cent and some prominent African-American figures. His take on Elon Musk was something I respect because he called out Elon Musk's characteristics well before anyone saw this d1ckhead movement Elon Musk is now on. Robert Greene actually spoke on it back when he was everyone's favorite Billionaire. Robert Greene noticed his serial flaws and poor judgement. I thought it was hating back then but it turned out to be a 100% accurate.

I’m subscribed to his channel too, he’s a very learned dude, I respect his mind. Just the Shorts alone on his YT channel are life changing, just on some psychology ish.

I love Mastery so much because it’s pretty much the Mamba Mentality fleshed out…not really but if you’re a Kobe fan like I am you know it’s rooted in this shhit. Robert Greene has said Kobe is his role model, several times, so he may have got inspired. Put in the work and the hours over the course of an extended time period and you will, inevitably, become a master/excellent at whatever the craft is…common sense but it’s amazing how little people subscribe to the logic. It’s not as alluring and borderline sinister as 48 or Seduction, lol, I love it though.

I didn’t read the “Human Nature” one that he released but I listened to the audiobook, I feel like I would have received it better actually reading it myself, which I will. Good listen tho nonetheless. 33 Strategies was always my favorite Robert Greene book until I read Mastery. The 50th Law is a great book too, really really good, underrated probably because 50 is part of it, makes it feel like a celebrity book to people perhaps, 🤷🏽‍♂️

This is nice Bro.

You right he loves Kobe always mentions Kobe lol, he is a big Lakers fan.

I do like watching his YouTube shorts it always has a few videos when I am scrolling down the shorts for little videos. I like when he goes on Interviews and other platforms on his channel he puts up the video. His stroke has caused him a few issues but with the meditation and the knowledge he handles it very very well. It is not even really noticeable.

They hated the 50th Law because of who Robert Greene was standing by, even certain black folks of the culture turned into snobs. I've listened to it on audio though. I am yet to read half of his new releases but I do plan to buy and read them I like the idea of the 'Phenomenon'. His other works as you have put it don't hold the same allure but just off the real life accounts taking place in his books I recommend it.

One more thing I really like is he puts you onto the main source and where he got the data from like The Prince, other books and philosophies and etc.

Many fascinating stories especially with the old Samurai warriors and battle Lords :wow:

Listen to a white man brehs :camby:

LOL but he takes into account all cultures.

Most examples are of native tribes and a lot of Asian excellence. Like the warriors, Samurai and leaders etc. A lot of it is multicultural.

He does not come across as a bigot in my opinion. Just the best real life examples of what he is trying to say, which is more than worth listening to.

Cool I know you are not serious, just playing.

The 48 is not like any other book though you will be very excited to get to the red columns on each page. This is because of all the real life examples which you see proof of the laws in action. I know we all need to allocate time for books and entertainment but a lot of the young who still have the youthful adventures in them are taking up knowledge of self. These are one of those weapons they use, the awareness of any ill intent and power plays.

It's very popular because it unfolds like a movie of yourself lol, like a biopic with a great beneficial ending lol.

Never read this book, but also never read the other books that "hip hop" promoted at different times
Behold a Pale White Horse, The Art of War, and The Prince.

I saw it as more that these are books that jail dudes promoted.

Oh yeah with the Jailhouse initiations lol.

The Aryan Brotherhood in Jail all have to read the grays anatomy. Imagine that!! :bryan:

A book about how the human body works and operates. A killers guidebook.

I think our Afrocentric teachers call this the age of information. I am not really into novels unless it is highly recommended by the culture like :

The Davinci code
Angels and Demons
Celestine Prophecies
etc.
