I ask this because I’ve been on cruise ships and seen upside down pineapples, I’ve seen dating profiles with people wanting to add an extra. I’ve met women who say they’re allowed to have boyfriends. What makes a man just say “I’ll share my gf/wife with another man”? The reason I ask is I could never get to that place.

If she wants to see other men let her but I won’t stay with her. It’s over between us if she wants to see other people. I don’t condone that and I don’t suggest any man doing so. That’s a woman’s way of taking your manhood. If she want to see other people it’s over with us.

So the pressure of society norms lead a lot of people to getting into a contract not realizing what their getting into? I just couldn’t see myself allowing my wife to “do her”.

Ive met people who were in open relationships. The rise in poly relationships as well. The lifestyle is really becoming mainstream nowadays. If you go on dating apps you may come across profiles where women say they looking to add extra. It’s everywhere basically.

I agree. I'm 43 and never cheated on a girl in my life. I've dated beautiful women, been in 5 year plus relationships.

My thought is that open relationships are a waste of time. But if all parties are cool with it then play on.

I'm about commitment and wouldn't tolerate a a cheater.

Humans are at BEST serial monogamists and even that is pushing it. Monogamy is not “natural” and people are less and less concerned with keeping up conventions to forego connections with others casual or otherwise
