Normally I like Van Gundy, but listening to him during the Warriors/Clippers game reminded me about these hypocritical media whores. During one sequence, a Clipper and Warrior fell on each other, resulting in Van Gundy and the other dude excitedly, but apprehensively, referencing the fact the teams "don't like each" other.
They were basically begging for a fight. I think we all know why Jeff Van Gundy should avoid a basketball melee..
Getting back to the main point, though, ESPN and others hype up rivalries amongst players or teams that hate each other, they feed the antagonism with loaded questions before the game, then on the off chance that a fight breaks out, they condemn the players for being a bunch of thugs. When they don't get violent or at least angry outbursts, the disappointment is palpable. When they get their outbursts, they get to cover 3-4 media cycles with outrage over the incidents they encouraged.
These fukking whores aren't just rubber necking, they are trying to cause wrecks just so they can complain about bad driving.
