The Atlanta is a lie lol. :bryan:

The average price for a decent home in a regular working-class/lower working class mixed neighborhood is about $106,000 - $112,000

If you tryna live in the heart of the city with the Elite status and bad b*tches, the lowest you can get for like a small townhome is like $380,000

Upper middle class ares about $180,000 - $380,000 and you can get a big ass house for $300k the further you are from the perimeter of the city.

Re-read the OP

The figures are NOT prices of homes. They are required SALARY to be able to afford a median home. Depending on where you are buying you can afford a decent home in ATL and surrounding areas paying less than $1K a month. Especially with the current interest rates

Yeah, I had to double check that when I read $78,000 for Washington DC.
But, even $78,000 a year doesn't really get you a single-family home in the nice neighborhoods. It can get you a condo or townhouse.
You can go to "get your car stolen" counties for affordable single family homes.

I don't think you understand this thread. That's not the cost of a place in SF or any other city. That's how much an individual would need to make to cover the expenses of owning a place in that city.

If you really live in Broadmoor :ohlawd:. My stepdad's parents come from old money and used to live there back in the day. Always wanted to live in that area. Close to everything (UW, Lake Washington, downtown, Capital Hill.)

Not yet, but considering I live in Cleveland, it wouldn't be that difficult.
There are houses going for $500 at auctions here, property taxes are cheap, especially on the East Side, as are insurance payments.
I could get a slightly-above minimum wage job, and within a year or two could have a home.
Rent here is insanely cheap as well.
