Can you as a Black man be rich/wealthy and still stay in the Hood?....Or would you get out as soon as possible?

How obvious is it? If you’re not flashy you can get by.

If you’re a public figure or everyone knows what you got going on, time to bounce. It only takes one snake in the hood to ruin your life.

Beyond safety, “the hood” my not offer the same neighborhood amenities folks who go up tax brackets tend to enjoy.

To me, it's not really about the people. It's about the services and amenities or lack thereof that the community doesn't provide. Trash all over the place. People loitering around. You may live next to a building that may have an infestation of critters that may spill over into your property. No quality grocery stores, restaurants, entertainment options. Public schools are garbage. All this means is that the free time that I have now that has comes with financial freedom is now partly being used to get access to basic things that should be readily accessible in my community because now I have to go out to get them. And that's not the best use of my time or anyone that has reached a certain income level.

Some "hoods" have the real estate and are conveniently located in proximity to more fashionable areas. I could live in places like Harlem or Bronzeville in Chicago. I could not live in an Englewood or Auburn Gresham.

You can...Most hoods are are not treacherous and toxic like the media and nxggas try to make it seem, most are filled with everyday honest working people of all types of wealth/income living low key lives some been around for generations...

But yeah It mostly depends circumstance like how you got your money and status to the public...I feel like people who get wealthy no matter their race or socio economic status rarely live in the same neighborhood/city/town they grew up in....You can still show love and be visible without actually living there..

Its when mothafukkas try to constantly make it a flex for the fact they made it out...that shxt is goofy and c00nish imo...

why'd you have to make it a black thing? Unless you're on some BS.

no if you have money like that you shouldn't live in poverty. Common sense.
The hood doesn't necessarily have to mean poverty.

I hung around in some middle class areas where the parents make decent money and their kids were str8 wolves.

Banging and everything. I'm from Little Rock so it may be different bin different spots, but if you got rich you would definitely have to still move.
