What was the point of this movie other than being a highlight reel of nikkas acting ignorant? The main character gets killed,the only guy that was trying to live positive gets killed, and the one that should have been killed lives.

Cuz that's how it happens in real life...the ones wanting to change their lives and live positive always get killed while the grimey ones live...it's a sad reality...the movie was just depicting the gang culture at that time and showing how young blacks were living...same with Boyz n the Hood

Saw menace in the theater the first week it came out.
Hands down the most hoodified movie experience ever. Muthafvckaz had strollers with they babies in them in the aisle. Everybody puttin somethin in the air all throughout the theater. Muthafckaz standin up yellin, cussin at the screen on one, I ain't makin this sh1t up, the theater was xxxtra turnt up for this flick real talk, and one of the scenes where EVERYBODY seriously lost it.......
