When the homies come over we just break out my PS4 or X1 depending on what we tryna run. Had some dope SF V Fight Nights.

Also none of these comparisons consider form factor. To build a comparable system at a comparable size, the price would go way up.

I think the best comparisons should focus on performance as opposed to matching specs. But even then I think the X1X would easily come out on top.
They did a great job with the price/performance ratio. Much better than the OG X1.

the advantage is you can upgrade parts and keep up with the tech. you have a lot of options as far as how much you want to spend, and how you want to spend it. but some people are gonna see that as a downside, because it can make things confusing, and/or very expensive. especially for those who can't resist the urge to always have the latest shyt

You being in both markets has nothing to do with it tho sir. The PC hustle is instead of sticking with a standard and Improving it for years at a time, they come out with a new standard within a years time.
Consoles stick with what they have for 5yrs, less benchmarks to reach, more time for optimization so they get much more out of less.
What pc gamers routinely do is overlook that and act like they can tell you what the equivalent is. I don't need to drive a Lamborghini to know that it's faster than a Prius. Digitalfoundry said it's legit so it's legit, Xbox wins again

I wouldn't bother. I'd just spend the extra to get a much better rig. A PC isn't a locked box anyway. You can upgrade it over time as you see fit.
I'm 2 years into my 6700K and there's no need to upgrade it anytime soon. Hell there are people still gaming on 2500Ks from 2011 with no real need to upgrade.
The moral is if you're gonna get into PC gaming do it right and don't cheap out and buy budget parts if you can save for the good stuff.
