Can you honestly say the 00s were better than the 90s?

Ive seen several threads and comments made that the 2000s and beyond were better than the 90s and the older heads such as myself are stuck in the past. Well what I ask to the people who feel that way is why? I mean Im not like some of the older heads I like the newer music to but there's the denying the fact the 90s were just better and will age better.

They'll never understand how revolutionary the 90's were. It really was the golden era. The 2000's just built off of what was refined in the 90's. Not to say that there wasn't any great music put out in the 2000's, but no where near as much as the 90's. Plus they didn't have a terrible drought like 2005-2008. That's when people were saying that hip hop was dead. The 90's created Pop Rap, Gangsta Rap, refined Conscious (backpack) Rap, Party Rap, etc. The music mogul giants like Dr. Dre, Puffy, Jay Z, Baby/Slim all came into prominence during the 90's. Were there even any moguls that got big during the 2000's? I can't even think of any besides 50 Cent, but even he had a boss.

ABSOLUTELY NOT.

It was a more revolutionary time for music in he 90s. nothing in the aughts or now will ever come close.

Plus it was more "innocent"...in a way. There was still a world trade center, the cold war was over, and the US had a billion dollar surplus and it was quite possibly the last time en masse that the music industry had any maximized prosperity.
