the type or music she likes?

Been talking to this girl for a few weeks. Never really been in her car or had a reason to ride with her because we always met up or came over each others place.

So we was at my place and we wanted a drink and she offered to drive. Got in her car and she had ganster rap blasting. In my head I was like:ld::huhldup:.

On the outside I was like:dj2: dis shyt hot. :gladbron:Didn't know this was out yet.

Is this a sign of things to come. Other things in her collection (i went through when she was in the store)were drake and Erica Badu, who from this site I found out has multiply babies by multiply fathers.

Disclaimer: I have never been with a girl whose cd collection was 3/4 hardcore rap. Maybe one or two CDs at the most. And for that fact they only played the female friendly song on the album.

i wouldn't talk to a chick who was a boosie, plies, or any trap music stan.

I'm thinking she young, pretty and attractive why would she choose to worship such dispicable content.

My opinion of her changed as soon as I heard that shyt. I lost all respect.

I won't comment on the hardcore rap, but lol @ not being able to listen to a singer you like because of her personal life (which you may or may not know).

Well most people see themselves as who they listlen to and to a degree try to emulate them. Badu isn't who she appears to be. Now-a-days artists don't have personal lives they all public figures in my eyes.

If rappers can be ridiculed for not living the life they rap I have no problem holding her to those standard.

Badu want the problem though, rap mixtapes was.

How do you feel about females with extensive gangsta rap collections?:ld:

Most people I know choose music based on their mood (not because they want to be like the artist), but we live in different places and know different people. I can understand you judging Badu, but to judge a woman who may not know all of Badu's business (you didn't know to you joined this board) is silly (imo).

As far as women and gangsta rap, I can only think of one woman I know who would likely have a gangsta rap collection and she is extra hood. The only thing I would assume about a woman OR man who has an extensive collection of gangsta rap is that they are hood. It wouldn't make me look down on them as a person though (they are who they are...I just take it or leave it)

^^^^ fair enough. I know hood chicks who only have RnB.

Badu is cool, just wouldn't think of her as multiple babies daddies person from her music.

To be honest most females who are black and claim to keep it real that have multiple bd is a red flag.

I really don't have a good gauge on the personality of the lady I'm talking to. But hearing that gutter rap just through me off.

i ain't too into women that are too into that 'hood rap' or lil wayne. If she's into that drake, soft rap, that's cool, but some woman that's blasting lil boosie, lil webbie and all of that ain't my thing.

Isn't it ironic to feel that way about Drake after alot of what was said in terms of simping and being lovey dovey in that ways of dealing with women thread?

absolutely. music taste is usually a major reflection of a person whether we like to admit it or not. if a person listens to nothing but ratchet music....they're most likely pretty ratchet themselves(or at least have that mindset).
