Yet another W for Canada.

Liberals to announce marijuana will be legal by July 1, 2018
CBC News has learned that the legislation will be announced during the week of April 10 and will broadly follow the recommendation of a federally appointed task force that was chaired by former liberal Justice Minister Anne McLellan.

The federal government will be in charge of making sure the country's marijuana supply is safe and secure and Ottawa will license producers. But the provinces will have the right to decide how the marijuana is distributed and sold. Provincial governments will also have the right to set price. While Ottawa will set a minimum age of 18 to buy marijuana, the provinces will have the option of setting a higher age limit if they wish.

As for Canadians who want to grow their own marijuana, they will be limited to four plants per household.

GOAT country gonna GOAT country. :ahh:

On Canada day too.:ooh:

weed has been out in the open for a while here... I got to a dispensary with no permit all the time. There's a bar I frequent that serves straight out the counter. my concern is getting in on the action :shaq:

depending on how they set prices and age limits this could kill or keep the illegal trade around. In reality dealers ain't going anywhere though. I can depend on the government to be greedy and stupid on how they set prices... I almost guarantee it and based on that alone I will decide how to proceed. I'm not getting taxed on weed to a point where it costs more than before legalization. :camby:

Yeah but at least you won't be arrested/charged for it, you also have the option to grow your own weed.

Article says 18 would be minimum age.

I think provinces being able to set the age limit on their own might be a good thing, wouldn't be surprised if BC and Quebec set it to 16.

Good point, tbh I'd do the same thing. If someone was making money off my land I'd want a cut of the profits too. If people find out renters can grow weed at my spot then that'll turn away potential clients.

provinces decide... I doubt they restrict it like that though they would piss off a lot of people. more than likely they will limit amount of stores in areas and proximity to schools the usual shyt. the only way provinces fukk this up is pricing and age limits they were given the recommended guidelines.

Nah it's not going that low I'd bet money on most going 19 and above. Look at the studies on smoking as a teen which I also cosign.
