You still haven't walked in and lived in a Black Canadian's shoes. Why should brehs be so quick to judge... I don't know what nasal accent you talking about...

None of my nikkaz have a nasal tone to their voice/speech.

This. you can also sub out Canada for England in this instance.
I'm tired of explaining this point it's so fukking redundant.

Eventhough I don't do the mandem accent I know why it exists. When I got to Toronto... MAJORITY of the nikkaz here didn't even listen to rap. Back in the day if you were in Scarb all you heard was dancehall booming out of car systems.

In Montreal, most black folks have a variation of their parents accent whether Jamaican/Haitian/Trini/Bajan/African/etc. The ones that live in the suburbs mainly have caccents.

I also lived in Toronto. Their is a star difference with Black Canadian accents vs Jamaicans or 2nd generation Jamaicans

Fair point on the weather but distance is relative. Flights are not hard to come by.

Im thinking when they migrated back then It was more of a convenience thing with the distance situation. Haitians ans Cubans are heavy in Florida.
Why fly all the way to Canada when America is right next to you with great weather and beautiful women.

I found it different when I visited Mississauga in the early 2000s. As a kid growing up in upstate ny, my best friend was a Jamaican dude and we would go visit his fam over there at times. Im west indian myself and got fam in Canada as well. They( at least the 2nd gen) use to say "guy" at the end of the sentences lol that would have me and my boy rolling :mjlol:... you could hear the yardie/Caribbean undertones but it was a bit different

OT
I remember one summer we went there and my boy had the uptowns(air forces 1) with the strap in the back and ninjas was mad press like

:ohhh: yooooooo, That's the shoes Jadakiss had on in that video :mjlol:. We stuck out like a sore thumb but this was 01, 02

OT

Not shytting on my Canadian brehdrens, I remember we played ball and lost to a cac and my boys cousin and them ninjas was happy as shyt. Felt like confette dropped from the sky and we heard the canadian national anthem playing. :russ:
