Imo he's the best combo of underground lyricist with music that the masses loved.

He made hit singles while being lyrical as fukk. Jay and Big and Nas all had to dumb it down to an extent on their singles. Pun had singles that were damn near as lyrical as anything on his album cuts and still turned them into hits.

I'd argue that Pun's best songs were his hit singles. "Still Not A Player", "It's So Hard", "100%"... dunno how he did it. Great ear for beats. I'll take those songs over Big's hit singles. "Hypnotize", "Big Poppa" and "One More Chance".

and his short discog shyts on Eminem's entire discog

:salute:

Pun is 1 of my all time favourite rappers and 1 of the all time greatest, he's still in my top 10. If he hadn't died I think he had the talent to be a top 5. He was amazing. He's also probably to me a top 5 lyricist, he was a phenomenal lyricist and his flow was ill too. He was inspired by some greats like G Rap and them but he also had some unique elements to his style that he brought to the table. Capital Punishment is 1 of the greatest albums I've ever heard, I personally always loved Yeahh Baby too and it was memorable to me. Plenty of dope features, Pun was an absolute beast. Intelligence, humour, charisma, flow, lyrics, passion to be dope. I listen to Pun all the time still and he deserves a lot of respect and eternal aknowledgememt for his talent. 1 of the greatest.

This is crazy rare nowadays

yeah

I think that actually biggie's singles are among his weakest songs (they're still good, but compared to his album cuts not so much). Tracks like The What and nikkas Bleed are way better than Hypnotize Big Poppa and them shyts.
