So what do producers have in store for season 3? EW can exclusively confirm that rapper (and Khloe Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend) French Montana will appear in the season 3 premiere as music mogul Vaughn, a member of Lucious Lyon’s powerful inner circle. Could he be a potential love interest for Cookie (Taraji P. Henson)?
Series co-creator Lee Daniels teased Montana’s appearance — as well as rapper Birdman’s, who plays himself — on his Instagram account Thursday.
Empire returns Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
