i saw an advanced screening and just walked out on it about 2/3 of the way in. i just couldn't deal with the level of racism I was seeing. It's not overtly racist, but more subtle which will go well with mainstream audiences, i think that makes it worse.
the movie is really about a cac from the 40s trying to make sense of a chaotic modern world with proud brothers walking around with impunity. the Sam Jackson character learns quickly to bow down to this cac with the line "I guess you're in charge now". less said about Falcon the better, this c00n is just subservient to the Captain from the very first scene. all that was missing was the captain calling him "boy". disgusting.
have some pride. don't go see the Winter Soldier.
