The asian thing is self-explanatory but it seems breh's are always stereotyped into liking foreign luxury cars, exotics, muscle cars or SUV's?

Not a lot of breh's are pictured up on the NSX, WRX, Lancer Evolution, GT-R, Silvia, etc.

When I was coming up in the tuner era brehs had Japanese cars, nowadays it might be because of the cost and access, majority of those older imports are concentrated in areas with higher asian populations like California, Washington, Oregon..etc. it's easier to find an Rx7 in Cali than in Alabama and the cost of living will cause the price to be an issue if you were an out of state buyer. If I'm in Virginia and see a 92 Mustang GT for $8k local vs a $23k Mk3 Supra on the west coast....:yeshrug:

I need an answer to this :ohhh: my dream cars :blessed:

I've seen black folks in all 3 of these cars in person breh with the Skyline even had an LS swap in it s2k and Nsx were both middle age professional looking brehs

For the most part it was accessibility and familiarity

Growin up my whole fam rode in gm shyt

step dad had a delta 88
Unc on his side had a Cadillac and a c10
Another had a g body monte

my first actual car is a impala coupe

If thats all you grew up seeing and riding in then its gonna be natural thats what kinda cars that draw you into the car scene. Folks get nervous at stepping outside of what they know and the same thing can be applied to any other demographic

Me personally now i still prefer American shyt but if you put a eagle talon infront of me that got the 4g63 manual with awd you damn right im pushin that

JDM? If it’s the cars that are mentioned in the other post like NSX, those cars are honestly colder than the Benz and such

Are you talking about cars made for the Japanese market or just Japanese cars in general?

I think Japanese cars kinda fell off. Lexus, Infiniti and Acura used to be the shyt, back in the 90’s. Most of those brands don’t have anything really fly nowadays.

As for the lesser brands, Black people are always into cars that convey status. Back in the day, just having a Maxima was kinda impressive. Nowadays, a maxima ain’t shyt. You gotta have a Maserati or a big body benz to look like you’re ballin’. And if you want something manly, you to for the charger/challenger or Camaro. Japan doesn’t have much to compete with those.
