Learned because i was moving, and we needed a uhaul but the only one availble was a manual. Figured it out a little in the parking lot, then drove cross country in it. but the time i arrived at my destination, i felt pretty comfortable with a stick shift.
Learning how to drive a motorcycle right now and it's actually very similar to a stick shift.

I can drive a stick shift, but haven't driven one in years!!

As for how one can learn, like another poster said, can go to YouTube, but the best way is to get a hold of one and start driving it! Go to a big parking lot or open area or open road and drive via trial & error. Maybe even better to have someone present who already know how to drive one, so they can give instructions as well as a demonstration on how to drive a stick...

I know how to. But I only trained on it twice when I was learning how to drive.

Theoretically I should be able to do it. I'll probably miss the clutch a few times and the vehicle will shut off. But after a week or so, I feel confident I could do it.
