Some say they scratch the paint. Can you put one of those carport awning things?

I recently copped a car cover for a 15 yr old accord coupe I park behind my house under a tree
Game changer and I'll probably buy a cover for whatever car I have going forward. Got the car washed and waxed weeks ago and it see looks like it just got detailed yesterday. This is after several severe thunderstorms in my area, mad tree dirt and bird shyt etc falling on the cover
I read about the risk of scratches but honestly the car already old and has scratches already so it's less of a concern for this car and with a newer car you can get custom car cover that won't move around on the frame

Thats all i recommend. It cost a grip but if you have a nice car, its worth it. Otherwise just get the 30 layer cover and call it a day.
