the point is...they are not this sophisticated
Most of the jobs by those Tesla robot arms exist in some form in other car factories (Mercedes-Benz, BMW, GM, Toyota, Honda, etc.), maybe not all in succession like it is there. It's cool but I'm not blown away. Everything from stamping sheet metal, moving chassis and body parts around, welding pieces, painting the car, big whoop-dee-doo. It's all nice and clean inside like a lab environment. That's impressive.

Telsa isnt in the red because of manufacturing costs, they actually paid off any outstanding monies from loans within 2 years, they went off track when the cars were having faulty issues with catching fire, they were very profitable initially, way more than investors could imagine.
