car leaking oil and a lil smoke from under the hood

If it's leaking oil then you might have damaged the oil pan, and the leaky oil is getting burned by the heat of the parts it is coming in contact with which causes the smoke. Get your oil pan checked. Did you run over something?

Naw but dude did say it was damaged last year, guess its that? It stopped leaking after about 10 minutes so it can't be the head gasket right ?

There's a possibility it could be a head gasket, but I think if that was the case you'd be getting blue or thick white smoke coming out of the tailpipe.

Wipe/Clean off as much of the oil pan as you can and try to trace where the leak may be coming from.
