Put the key in and i get a tick, tick, tick at 88 bpm. Flashing, sporadic dash lights. On a 2012 civic owned by a pawg. Any insight?

I think its electric, too. Gonna start with fuses and work my way up.

It could be something as simple as the battery. A bad cell can cause that. Check that First.
Nah, i charged it and it started but as soon as I turn it off, after about 45 mins, it died again. Im just gonna let me girl put this new toolbox on her card and watch GSN as moral support.

and civics are supposed to be top of the line in terms of reliability. You shouldn't be running into those type of problems with civics, especially a 2012.

u may have a bad alternator if its not holding a charge u can easily take it to autozone or oreilleys n theyll test it for free

Checked oil, it was at the proper level and the right color
It's not the alternator because it didn't stop when I took the cables off.
Etc.
Changing a battery for the first time is easy. Tbh, better than changing a fukkin tire or oil. Easiest car problem ever
