I think cardi b style of sexuality and music content etc and social media today's time she took it to another level in becoming famous as a female rapper BUT Lauren hill deserve credit for her authentic style and she went mainstream and she did films The other rappers you mentioned like foxy,Kim, Trina, were and still popular but we're not cross over to mainstream.

Latifah did movie and tv so that counts.

As a female group Salt and Pepa did go mainstream and we're popular.
As I said before, it's unfortunately difficult for a local conscience female rapper to crossover to cardi b status as unfortunately sex sells.
