Cardi B on Instagram: “So I had this convo with my team about this topic after seeing this viral tweet ...what do you guys think ? Watch till the end”

Cardi is basically speaking out about a Twitter post that went viral talking about how black female rappers are downgrading the Birkin bags by having them and how they cannot afford the real bags. Cardi says that people NEVER do that to white celebs and points out examples of how hip-hop has influenced the culture and how even her own songs (Bodak Yellow and I Like It) have helped drive up sales and land her fashion deals. Cardi said why do black AND Hispanic women have to be disrespected and questioned about the things they have.

I wish we would take that approach. "You don't want us wearing your brand. Okay, fine. I will take my money somewhere else."

In fact, I wish that was the approach until they did something to earn our support.

She actually has a point here when it comes to black people “devaluing” brands. It’s rooted in racism

What I do wish is that we move away and stop glorifying these white luxury brands. There are black owned Luxury brands like Pyer Moss, Russell Wilson Good man brand, etc

The only time I have ever heard a Birkin Bag mentioned is by a "straight" male rapper talking about copping one for a "female" :patrice:

No troll this is one of the WOAT new trends in hiphop. nikkas know more about women's fashion than women do :deadmanny:
