You have to point out the hypocrisy. Socialism for the rich rugged individualism for everyone else was a good slogan.Honestly I don't see the point in defending the label any more.
Just push for the policies you want and let the results speak for themselves. When you get stuck defending the label you get caged in language traps that prevent people from reaching out to help achieve these goals.
I get that, but you gotta know where you're fighting. Instead of talking about socialism, talk about "well the government can do XYZ" and ignore anyone who tries to jacket it in "-ism"You have to point out the hypocrisy. Socialism for the rich rugged individualism for everyone else was a good slogan.
People who don't like it throw the label around while ignoring the already existing socialist policies out there they are perfectly fine with.
I can agree with that. I don't like idealogs who pigeonhole themselves. Socialism isn't great for everything and neither is capitalism. Apply what works best for whatever sector you are speaking aboutI get that, but you gotta know where you're fighting. Plus, a lot of these labels came AFTER the movements themselves.
Marx didn't call himself a "marxist" etc.
People are more attracted to the aesthetic than the actual work which is why none of this shyt goes anywhere.
Yep also all these politicians that don't want government run health care use government run health care lmao. You have to point out the hypocrisy. Socialism for the rich rugged individualism for everyone else was a good slogan.

O...k...?This is some "the man who invented college didn't attend college" logic lmao.![]()
what advice?America should have taken his advice
Now we have the greatest wealth disparity in human history
The planet is burning and we're on the brink of collapse
And we have demagogue in the White House encouraging civil war if he loses the elections.
The sci fi dystopian future is playing out in real time.
Arsène, are you a socialist?
Nabhas, India
What is socialist for you? For me, a socialist is trusting connectivity to sort the problems of a society. First, you need a collective environment that favours the expression of the individual. After that, I think it’s down to an individual’s initiative to make the most of their life. But the dominant thing is a collective environment for me.
