Nah, Love is perfect for Lebron's Cavs. Melo is a ball stopper, unless Lebron can somehow get him to play like "Olympic Melo", which I highly doubt, especially at 33.
Love for melo......
Cavs would probably win 4 straight finals
Love is averaging 11 rebounds per game, Melo cannot replicate that and it's one of the major strengths of the Cavs team.
What is Olympic Melo.
How is all this Melo hate warranted? There's mad good players with big contracts on shytty teams.![]()
. I guess its the cool thing to do right nowimo, melo is a one dimensional player who will NEVER win a title. I consider him, dwight howard & deron williams all in the same category-they will NEVER even come close to winning a chip. They have angered the basketball gods by forcing trades, not honoring contractual obligations & being over all "wussies" [if anyone knows what this term means haha].
Melo forced the trade from denver to nyc, then had the audacity a year or 2 ago to be like-I've never been a free agent, I want to see what that's like..after the knicks GUTTED the team to get his ass. [and they were decent before he got there]. Then payed him all that dough, only for this? I mean how could any real knick fan believe melo would lead y'all to a chip?! you knew what you were getting by watching him in Denver.
not to mention that fight in the garden where melo stole on the little dude then backpedalled from a true confrontation.
the real question is who's going to take this no defense playing, I need at least 30 shots a game, shooting something like 9 for 30 ass dude?

"almost doesn't count"-brandy
I'm willing to make a standing bet, for the duration of his career, dwight howard will NEVER win a ring.

“Dolan said to me, ‘Are you going to get run out of town by the media?’ I said, ‘I know who the media is; that doesn’t affect me,’ ” Jackson said in the Carmelo chapter of his book, “Masters of the Game,” a conversational read on the 75 greatest players through the lens of the legendary coach and Hall of Fame scribe Sam Smith. “But Dolan felt it was too much. He said, ‘I don’t want you to go through it. I know what it’s like to deal with these people.’ I said, ‘Unfortunately my relationship with Carmelo is kind of busted, and if he’s going to be here, it’s probably best that I go.’ ”
“I had this meeting with Dolan, I said, ‘I don’t want Carmelo back on the team; we’ve got to find a way to trade him,’ ” Jackson said in the book. “I said, ‘Let’s sit with [Anthony’s agent] Leon Rose and explain we’re not going to win a championship. Carmelo wants a championship; he wants to be on a team that has a chance, and he should be; he’s a Hall of Famer.’ ”
“[Karl said] ‘Kobe’s going to get his 30 points and we’ll deal with that; shut down everybody else.’ Carmelo interjected, ‘No, I disagree with that. We’ve got to defend Kobe first. We’ve got to throw everything at him,’ ” Jackson wrote. “ ‘You know why?’ George asked. ‘[Carmelo] said he wanted to be the top scorer.’ ”
In the book, Jackson also touched on his two highest draft picks as Knicks president, Kristaps Porzingis — “a good draft pick, but his brother was in the way all the time” — and Frank Ntilikina — “the NBA game turned out not to be for him. I thought he’d be great in a two-guard system, 6-4, agile, but he could never shoot.”
