A shyt 'sequel' in 98 and a tv remake years ago....this is prob one of the remakes that I see nothing wrong with. It will be watchable and violent. Plus I liked the original but was never in love with it so I dont have a connection to it that would make me mad over the remake

love the OG film/depiction regardless of its unfaithfulness. Will check this out as an avid horror fan.
It's not really a remake. It's a lot closer to the original novel, so I don't mind it. In the novel she was waaaaaaaaay more powerful than the movie, and killed a lot more people. I assume they didn't have the budget back then to show her wrecking the town. Also in the novel there was more people with powers like her all over the world.

Even with it being closer to the novel it doesn't make we want to see this movie at all. We know the story and the big turning point, its just not a remake I feel was nnecessary.
