I had a rental car for a few days this week while my car was being repaired, it was a Dodge Avenger, and :mindblown: I drove it as little as possible.....I kid you not the blind spots are the worst I've EVER seen in a vehicle.

From the drivers side it was nearly impossible to see a car if you were backing up and add to that the really high headrests and I had to almost let the window down in some situations. From the angle, a small car could be completely blocked out. I've never had an accident in my life, and I almost backed into someone at the store b/c I couldnt see them backing out. :snoop:

From the passenger side it's not as bad but still bad, but it's still awful. How the hell does stuff like this pass engineering designs?

^ one of the best "mods" you can add to your vehicle

and speaking of horrible cars with the worst blindspots...I drove a 2013 Camaro for work...good lord the vision around the sides and rear of the car from the inside is one of the worst I ever experienced.

yup i got two big ones on my mirror, my car is pretty big honda accord, helps me park in the lines and as well i can see everything in my blind spots.

should be mandatory to me on cars, nothing worse than driving on the highway and some dude is changing lanes and coming over to your lane cuz he cant see you in the blind spot.

I always said that should come standard on cars, the only car I can think of off the top of my head that has it built in, is the Mustang

now they have cars with the "B.L.I.S." "Blind Spot Information System, that gives you an alert when your indicator is on, and there is a car in your blindspot...letting you know whether it's safe to merge or not. A simple added mirror would suffice, but they wanna get fancy...:manny:

I came in here to say this about the Camaros. My uncle sells them down at the dealership and offered to let me test drive one of the V8's when they 1st came out. Now when he asked me I had already been looking over it the past 10 mins and I was sitting in the driver's seat. I looked out the rearview and out the little side windows and I was like :rudy: I'll pass. That is the main thing I hate on those cars is the rearward and side vision.

Could be wrong here but I definitely feel Dodge cars in general are horrible with blind spots/overall visibility. Drove a friend's Charger recently and that shyt had me :why: my sister has a Neon and that shyt is :snoop:

Add in your avenger experience and I feel I'm on to something here

You guys are talking mostly new cars, but I just finished detailing my dad's '72 Mustang Fastback. I bought him a car cover for Christmas, but he never put it on, so I cleaned the car before breaking it out.

After I cleaned it, I drove it around the neighborhood. Goddamn, that car has horrible lines of sight. The back window is on some tiny letterbox screen shyt, and the blindsides are terrible. I was straining my neck trying to make sure I didn't sideswipe anybody in that fukking boat.

I came in here to post about the Avenger. The C-Pillar on the car is GIGANTIC and extends on to the door for "styling" reasons I guess. And maybe it's just me and my seating position but the A-Pillar is always in my way when I am making a turn. The Avenger is trash and so is Chrysler in general.

yeah, I drove a Charger once on vacation and though I dont remember the blind spot being bad, I just dont like the way Dodge cars drive. They drive like trucks to me.
