Alright, so I've thought about one of the few decent things TNA ever did, the X-division OPTION C whereas one could turn in their title for a shot at the heavyweight title. I thought it was innovative, and a good plot device.

The idea of carrying a dumb suitcase is passé to me, so I thought about adding the stipulation of the ability to cash in the US title or IC title for their corresponding universal title or wwe title. It could be done at night of champions, for example, adding weight to a ppv with potential and a little history. Especially if you move extreme riles a month or so before NOC and have 2 ladder matches (or one ladder one chamber) for those belts.

For example, the story of Miz having of belt now and maybe he cheats like crazy just to keep the belt to NOC, and challenge ambrose....

I think it works, makes NOC more important, adds value to those belts (esp. Us title) and ISNA great plot device.

Thoughts?

I think it's a good idea...A double pulled it off excellently

If done well it can refresh both title scenes (adding a new person to the mix in the main title and new contenders for the undercard vacant title)

The only stipulation I would add is that it has to be declared ahead of time so it's not a "money in the bank" cash in style

Its a nice idea, but the IC/US title are already devalue as it is, having someone cash it in for a world title will devalue it even more. I know the end game is the heavy title, but there are otherways wrestlers can move on to bigger things, plus most guys that move on from the us/ic to the heavytitle put over another superstar. This scenario really can't do that.

I mean if its done once or twice it would be cool, but doing it on a continuous basis would be stupid imo.

What about as long as the title is defended x times, or as long it is held for x period. That'd make more sense. To be honest though. If done properly, that happens naturally anyway (Warrior, Lethal, for example)

First thing I thought of when I read the thread title. WWE probably can't do it now just cause Vince doesn't like using other ideas.

Naw Vince will use ideas but it has to be an ideas that the majority of PAYING fans don't already know.

He won't use War Games because the majority of PAYING fans know it's from WCW.

He lifted the Matt and Jeff story line and it's now being done with the Wyatts and New Day because the majority of PAYING fans don't know shyt about TNA

He could take this and use it because Underground isn't widely known and he can claim the idea as his own.

By the way it's a great idea.

It would add importance but devalue the secondary titles at the same time...

= 50-50

= WWE would fukk with the idea :ehh:

I don't think this devalues them at all, in fact it brings value back. The reason the IC title meant so much back in the day is because it made you the number one contender and as a fan you knew eventually that person was going to get a title shot... now it's just :yeshrug:, MITB is more valuable because of what? It's because you know that person will eventually get that shot.

Only problem, isnt Night of Champions now gonna be just a RAW or SD PPV? I thought the big 4 were the only combined PPVs

Unlike the MITB briefcase in most cases, there's a good chance they'd lose their US/IC title in the future. Because of that, wouldn't it be logical to trade that in for a title shot asap? Basically my thinking is if you had a lottery ticket voucher that could be taken from you at any moment, wouldn't you want to cash that in immediately? Why wait :manny:

And if that were to happen, it wouldn't be a good look to have a new US/IC champ every month.

With that said, I still like the idea and think it would work only if it wasn't done often
