I'm watching these Russian videos of people diving in front of cars and getting hit. My brother told me its for insurance money. how come people don't do that shyt here? I'm bout to cross the street with my eyes closed and see what that check bout if that shyt is legal here. Has anyone done this?

Your compensation depends on the damage to your vehicle and your "injuries" what these Russians have in place is doctors who will say they have nerve damage and other injuries that are hard to disprove and that's how they get these claims inflated in the 10s of thousands.

True..but to get a big insurance claim you're going to have to document injuries anyway. Emotional distress would be the hardest to prove..as well as the part of potential earnings. However, my father represented a nurse in civil court who was suing the hospital and a company for negligence etc because they improperly built and failed to update (despite complaints) a ramp of sorts to transport a big medical cart out of its storage room...the cart ended up falling on her and she had damage to her body which didnt allow her to play with and train her child as much (she often did before) as well as impacting her ability to do her job and continue to exercise for her own personal health..so she sued for loss of potential future earnings and emotional distress since it ruined her own career and impacted her ability to parent her child in ways she was previously. She won a big settlement.

Can happen in cases like that..as well as if someone is an up and coming or established athlete. Huge $$ in that. One of the reasons she got big money though is because it was against companies and it was willfully negligent. If youre getting hit by a random person who happens to be broke or cant make a legit case about potential earnings then youre not gonna get much or any out of it (civil suit anyway).
