Okay guys, let's talk about catfishing, specifically in online dating- do you guys think that calling someone a catfish is shallow? Is it shallow to reject an catfish based solely off of how they present themselves physically online? Does catfishing involve some level of entitlement for both parties involved? What about the people who do catfish, why do you do it?

I was catfished recently and dont know how to go about the situation....so I need some advice...

Yeah, that's foul. Catfishing is wrong no matter what, and I don't think you're entitled for for feeling lied to.

"Shallow" I see some people still think it's a bad thing to care about appearance for whatever reason.

I don't care for online dating but I would never take someone seriously if they had to pretend to be something they're not or show photos of themselves when they were younger/better looking to trick someone into giving them attention.

If I were to meet up with someone and they don't look like they do in their photos I'm out ASAP

I can not post his pictures online, I dont want to put him out there like that. But it wasnt even the case that he put an younger version of himself up there, he posted a man that looked facially different and was couple of inches taller...He posted a different person with a family and everything. Like he had a picture of another man's brother and father up their and he doesnt even have siblings...
