This was ok. I liked the gritty look of the city and the story started moving fast after a slow start. Wouldnt watch it again unless it was on tv in the background

This is the kinda mid-budget crime thriller we used to get in the 90s and 2000s that we don't get anymore. Solid flick.

Also great to hear Buju in a movie again.

EDIT: One criticism...

This movie does reaffirm that Kravitz is a star (and better actor with more presence than Butler) because the movie does take a hit when she gets murked.

Entertaining film, but felt unpolished or missing something.
Can someone please remind me which other show/movie had that bit where goons beat up the protagonist, then tell him he has a day till they come back again, but then they show up again very quickly?
And them beating the shyt out of the protagonist becomes repetitive as hell.
shyt is annoying and I can’t recall where else it happened.

This movie and that new Running man feel like they are homages to Guy Ritchie movies.

This was just OK, I liked how it captured 90's NY, I think Guy Ritchie would have pulled this off, I actually thought he directed it when I watched the trailer
