If they truly wanted him gone and he wanted to leave they could have made it happen. Worse players with worse contracts have gotten traded since forever.
I never said that they couldn’t, but they would have had to give up sweetners in the deal. Let’s not forget Love’s injury history that was an issue for years that would complicate any deal.

No doubt but I still say it was a case of them holding on to the past and him being content making his money and missing chunks of seasons.

The Heat will need Love to be solid to win these Finals. Bam is going to get ate by Joker.
Nuggets too athletic to start Love, let alone for him to be a difference maker. Only way to play Love would be if he can guard Jokic for small stretches

SMF and LAX to VA and NC
If prime T-Wolves K Love was the standard for 5 extra seasons, he would definitely be in the convo
No...
He suffered from the same thing Bosh did when he went from #1 to #3 on a lebron team

Will be interesting to see if he goes to the hall. Maybe not first ballot but I think he gets in.
He didn't "suffer" anything, Minnesota Love had six years to get into The Tournament and didn't do it once. Not one time...

It was well proven that Love as your best player couldn't even get you a playoff berth. Playing next to LeBron saved this man's career the same way it saved Bosh's. He'd be an afterthought had he never left Minnesota...

I'll never understand how we watch guys when they have the chance to run their own program, and go nowhere, then they get to play next to someone greater than them and have major success and we talk about how that guy's growth was stunted. He had six years. We saw enough to know the train with Love as your guy was going absolutely nowhere...

It’s not Kevin love is who he is glad he found a role elsewhere but it was time for him to move on. Honestly he was a bit above average as a buyout candidate.
