"We have better players than him at his position already on our team bro". :shaq2:

"LeBron can just add to what we need you know and just make things a little bit easier". :russell:

"He will come in and make an immediate impact you know like a Caron Butler on the Miami Heat". :ehh:

"I don't think you can bring a high school player in and think your team just gonna turn around like that. If he come :manny:, you know what I'm saying he could just hop on our bandwagon."

LeBron would go on to average 21/6/6 on 42/29/75 splits and improve Cleveland's record by 18 wins capturing RoY honors straight from high school.

It's interesting watching the clips in that first video. I dunno if benches were more subdued back then but no one was reacting to any of the plays he was making. It's weird cause he had some legit highlights but niccas on the Cavs were just giving him golf claps.

In hindsight no one knew LeBron would dominate the way he did. They could only speak from perspective of watching a hs schooler jumping to NBA. Their opinions were not wrong at the time.

If someone walks into a pickup game talking about how great this one guy that no one knows is and how he is gonna change the game everybody on the court is gonna be like :rudy: until that person proves it. We talking guys at the highest level that have seen it all and have the biggest egos. Of course they are only gonna believe it when they see it. That said :dead: at D. Miles. How you gonna question a HS players impact when you came straight from HS? And then the nikka said "he can get on our bandwagon". They won 17 games :russ:.

that reacting to the bench shyt didn't start becoming a "thing" until around blake griffins rookie year.

now everybody just jumps off the bench acting a fool during any dunk

"Last week, James played on a team with Lucas' son, John Jr., a freshman guard at Baylor, and later played point guard on a team of Cleveland players.

The 17-year-old James dazzled the Cavs and others in attendance, soaring for several spectacular dunks and showing why many believe he will be the first player taken in the 2003 NBA draft if he decides not to attend college.

James hasn't ruled out college and said during this past season that he has narrowed his choices to Duke, Florida, Louisville, North Carolina and Ohio State.

The 6-foot-7 James has said he will return to high school for his senior season and has denied reports he will play in Europe while waiting to become eligible for the NBA."

And yeah John Lucas Jr. from Baylor is this guy, crazy how things come full circle.
