CDPR is not in the same league as Naughty Dog or Rockstar

rockstar trash to me tbh

gtav is practically the same as liberty city with 3 playable characters instead of one.

red dead redemption 2 is practically the same story as part 1 and same gameplay. I can't even think of what they added off the top of my head.

and to top it off they stopped supporting dlc for their single player campaigns so unless you want to go online and get blasted by rockets every 5 seconds by 12 year olds your shyt out of luck for new content for the one game they make per generation. It's clear people clamoring for a new GTA don't care about innovation at all.

I view RDR2 as one of the greatest technical achievements ever in gaming. The world they built was immaculate, but the game just wasn’t that much fun.

I feel CDPR has built a world that can rival RDR2 in detail and the game is actually a lot of fun.

Naughty dog just make cac movies. For the life of me I don’t understand why y’all prop them up the way y’all do.:smh:

what exactly does rockstar need to innovate? they already innovated, these other studios playing catch up.

i'm annoyed with a lot of their business/game development practices as far as releasing content that you've outlined tho, but GTA V still holding up 7 years later is quite an accomplishment.

i don't think their problem is innovation, i think they've proven that they can make the best open world experiences, but there are some mechanics that suck fun out of the games that need tweaking. especially with RDR2

GTA V isn't holding up. GTA online is. GTA V is nothing more than a mayhem sim outside the main story, and one can argue that Saints Row is a much better mayhem sim. Watchdogs has a more immersive world. I agree with the other poster that GTA peaked with San Andreas. RDR 2 is a chore to play, but the story is excellent and is by far the best open world Rockstar has made. I'll take Bethesda over Rockstar anyday when it comes to open worlds.

I thought I was in the minority with read dead, people were talking like it was the second coming. For me I didn't have fun playing that game at all but the world felt large and expansive.

GTV 5 was good, I think people are forgetting how every character got like a year or so of like spotlight, Michael, Franklin and Trevor were in the spot light for years, then the online part and mods kinda just kept it going.

I think GTA5 is peak gta for what it was, 6 needs to take it in a different direction much like 3 did.

GTA5 is great but it's not really a series I have a ton of fun with either.

When its all said and done comparing a sandbox scripted game to a sand box WRPG and a then even smaller sandboxed linear games isn't really fair nor a good angle to look at the companies from..

Apples and oranges

Cyberpunk probably has and immersive city layout I've ever played on.

But so far the options you have to handle battles and quest seem pretty straight forward.

Anyone who believed they were is a damn clown.
:mjcry::mjcry::mjcry:I once put them on that level, I personally believed the Witcher 3 was flawless. And after the Witcher 3 and them expanding with a bigger budget I thought it could only get better and they could only excel. Perhaps the Witcher 3 was their ceiling and it’s nothing but down from now on.
